Jane Porter

Jane is a facilitator, a communicator, an integrator. She works primarily in the natural resources sector, helping private and public sector clients in mining, forestry, and oil and gas manage and report on key environmental and socio-economic issues.

Jane’s clients include government bodies such as Natural Resources Canada Canadian Forest Service, private companies like Sherritt International and Hudbay Minerals, and industry associations like the Mining Association of Canada.

“Every day is different,” Jane says. “At any time, I could be working on a strategy job for a mining client in Toronto, or preparing for a training workshop in the north or a national stakeholder engagement plan for a federal government department.”

Skilled in stakeholder engagement and facilitation processes, Jane is both creative and practical in guiding groups toward their objectives.

Drawing on her extensive reporting and communications experience, she also helps clients understand the complex disclosure and reporting landscape and supports all elements of the reporting process.

“I love my work,” says Jane. “Helping clients understand and manage environmental, social, and governance issues is meaningful. Every project helps make this world a better place.”
